It was founded in 1969 with the objective to bring together the family through sport disciplines. The golf links were inaugurated on that same year. It was built by the famous designers Alberto and Emilio Serra, locating it in the environs of the Burgueño and Pinazo streams, next to the Pan-American Highway.

Its 18 holes of American style had, from the beginning, wide fairways and enormous tees. The length of fairways makes unnecessary the presence of roughs, which are only allowed to grow when the course is being prepared for great championships. Its greens, of bent-cross grass give speed to the ball making a delicate putting a must. Its fairways are challenging due to their perfectly designed dog-legs and the strategic positioning of water hazards.

In 1988 Emilio Serra and his son, designed and constructed 9 additional holes that combined with the 18 original ones, allow to have three routes of 18 holes:

Los Lagartos Golf Club: “All 27 holes of Los Lagartos Country Club will asure every golfer a nice golf round with its designed policy of being a “hard look-easy playing” golf course. The championship course is a mix of the 3 nine hole courses and it´s the anual host of the Argentine Open Qualifaying round.”
